Kaj Arnö is Vice President at MySQL AB, based again in his native Finland after a two-year stay in Munich 2002-04. Since joining MySQL AB in 2001 with a background as a software entrepreneur and CEO for 14 years, Kaj has been in charge of Training, Support, Services and Software Engineering at MySQL AB. With two new VPs on board, for Services and Engineering, Kaj builds bridges between the MySQL Cupertino office and the 17 countries where MySQL has employees. Kaj's present responsibilities include the MySQL SAP relationship and MySQL's internal IT infrastructure. His heart continues to have a special feeling for both Development and Munich.

development tasks, and continues to enjoy working on MySQL server internals. For what it worth, he got his PhD in Physics in Moscow
Institute of Physics and Technology and now lives in Osnabrueck, Germany.

Hartmut Holzgraefe (38), electric engineer and computer scientist with a minor degree in biology, first came into contact in late '99 and just got stuck with it. Over the last years he's been digging his way through PHP source and manual, putting in various translations, bug fixes and additions, including the deceased RTFM extension.
Hartmut is working as a senior support engineer for MySQL AB.

Jan Kneschke started as web-developer and system-administrator for the NetUSE AG, Kiel, Germany with the main focus on PHP, LDAP and Solaris. After he finished his studies in electical engineering he founded incremental.de to give his knowledge in high-performance, network-related software a new ground. localizer, lighttpd and netoflife are examples of this fruitfull work. Since 2004 he works for MySQL AB, Uppsala, Sweden as trainer and consultant.

Arjen Lentz (36) is originally from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Together with his wife, baby daughter and black cat he resides in Kenmore (Brisbane), Australia.
Arjen initially started with programming, but has since branched out to blends initial geekness with more human interaction - like writing and training. He still dabbles with PHP and C in his abundant spare time. He has been working for MySQL AB since 2001, primarily as technical writer (docs) and trainer.
Arjen is currently MySQL AB's Community Relations Manager, a job which involves cool stuff like jet-lag, hanging out with MySQL users everywhere and drinking assorted beverages on company time. He is also the program chair for the MySQL Users Conference.
